Butterflies of South East Turkey

A tour with Hiro Takenouchi to the south-eastern corner of butterfly-rich Turkey. This is a research trip to a very scenic and distinct corner of the country, where some exciting species occur, but not all locations are fully worked out. It will be organised and co-led by Basak Gardner, a native Turkish-speaker, something that is essential in this relatively remote area.

Day 4   Zernek Valley. Overnight Van.

Day 5   To Tatvan

Day 6   Nemrut Crater. Overnight Tatvan.

Day 7   Bitlis Circuit. Overnight Tatvan.   

Day 8   Flights home from Mus.
